Time Travelled — 5 months

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, It's been close to a year that Dad passed. I know it was so hard to learn to live without him there by you. You felt sad, angry, guilty, lost, stuck - over and over. There's no timetable for grief. It doesn't really go away, you learn how to make space for it. Make it a friend, not a monster. This is going to be a tough time of the year. That's okay. Do what you can. And you can still have a cake for his birthday! Look at pictures, laugh, cry. You don't have to do every holiday tradition - keep it simple. I hope you are learning how to have fun again, that it's okay to enjoy life. Both Mom and Dad would want you to. They're at peace, I really believe that. You have your family and friends who love you and want you to be happy. You have so much to look forward to!
