Time Travelled — 6 months

Peaceful right?

Hi girlie, it's me, you. Old joke, but these emails surprise you every year, don't they? I wonder what happened in a couple of months? We're kind of doing alright at the moment. January was hard, my little dog Karli was super reactive and it felt so stressful to figure it all out. You just got a new car, haven't even charged it for the first time yet. I bet you get used to it, it'll all be fine. Work kinda sucks, in a way, that it feels like I need to jump ship but I'm scared to change and upend my life again. I wonder if I will be ready to move next january or have made peace? I'm thinking about what i want from life a lot at the moment. I think i would enjoy more home office, more soft days with Karli at home, I really enjoy longer walks with him lately, just moving slowly and watching him explore, listening to podcasts. I really like my evening activities right now. I made friends at pole classes and dance classes, I'm kind of getting better at the choreos and learning choreos. Not a natural but committed. I feel fit at the moment. I like it. I'm a bit less creative, spending less time knitting, painting, sewing, but I still do it. I keep forgetting what i have to wear, but I made a cool cotton brown open vest, that is really cute and will be cute in summer too. And a brown linen set for the holiday in Nice. I can't wait to see Dermot Kennedy a lot this year live. Love the new album. Love the guy. Back to life plans. Home office? flexible work. Maybe not full time? should i try living even more outside of town, have a proper garden, fields to walk through in the morning, or live by the seaside, Cornwall or Ireland, I haven't tried it yet. It calls to me. But it sounds lonely too, maybe. I want to work with more women. I want to be creative. I'd love a second dog. I don't think i need a guest room. silly little thoughts and big ones too. I hope you found some answers, I'm counting on you girl <3 But currently, it's all ok-ish. I have good friends. I have context friends, that I enjoy to meet. I just spoke at two panel discussions, after being invited to speak. Feels good to be acknowledged. I like that I have expertise. I like working with all the students too. It's not all bad. I love little Karli, he's currently sleeping under the blanket cuddled up next to my legs on the couch. I'm ready to sleep. love you <3
