Dear Future Me,
Today is Friday, April 17.
She talked to me in a hurtful way, insulted me, and humiliated me. She told me if I don’t like it, I should just leave, and that I’m overreacting and not normal. She expects me to just stay quiet, swallow everything, and always agree with her—even when I’m the one being wronged.
Even something small like my gommage… she trew them , my food that i didn't eat because i was ill but she took it and gave it to my sister without even asking me, like my rights and my things don’t matter. And when I spoke up, she said, “that’s life in my house”
What hurts even more is that she told me to go to my dad’s place, even though she knows what I go through there with my stepmother and how hard it is for me. Still, she keeps putting me down.
Here, I feel like I can’t talk about my problems—not even to my mom—because it just turns into more insults and more pain. They tell me to rely only on myself and live on my own… and maybe that’s true, but it’s hard, because everyone needs someone who listens and understands.
If you’re reading this in the future, I hope you became stronger—not because you got used to the pain, but because you learned how to protect yourself, how to set boundaries, and how to know your worth.
Stay on your own side. Always.
Maybe this message isn’t perfectly written, because I spoke in my own language and just translated it. But I hope you understand it… maybe it will make you think more before you grow up and become a father or a mother.
