A letter from Mar 27, 2026

Dear FutureMe, I'm sitting in Las Vegas airport right now, finally flying back to Chicago after a fun week with Connie and her Cali friends. Dayne nuked the HREELS project right before this trip, so I guess it was a good break from all the chaos in my research. Career-wise, I'm now interested in exploring science policy/industry positions in optics research (ASML, Intel, IBM, etc.) AAUW fellowship I still haven't heard back yet...also haven't heard back from the NSF CSD grant that I co-wrote with Dayne. Hope the 1-week workshop in DC will be fun. Hope the laser project (photodesorption) is going well. I'm relieved classes are finally done. I literally just applied for MS in applied physics. XOXO, Second year, winter/spring
