Dear Reshma,
How has the last month been? Is the move to Malaysia finally coming around?
Here's a sneak peek of your state of mind on 6th March 2026 --
I have a lot of free time on my hands right now. Some days I wake up feeling inspired to use it well. Some days I watch a movie(sometimes 2), read, chill in the balcony, stretch, and eat healthy. But some days I wake up feeling sad and lonely and anxious about the future. Especially Malaysia. I'm excited about the move. I could really, really use a fresh start. I'm excited to set up a new place. Start doing creative things. A YouTube channel. Maybe a blog. Just put myself out there little by little. Get good at digital art. Start working on a book. Do lots of online courses that appeal to me. Work hard, but at things I truly love. Move a lot. Go to parks. Explore the city. Make new friends of all kinds. And be a good friend. Learn to be more social.
But I also know some days might be hard. I might feel lonely and uninspired. I might miss making my money and miss my job. I might miss admiration. This is a unique opportunity that very few people get. So I'm going to try and make the best out of it.
Here are my hopes for now, though. For the month to come. I decided last night that I would slowly start building good habits. And start at ground zero. Stop myself from overdoing it and REALLY work on building consistency. 3 things I've decided to do for the next 2 weeks are - read 10 pages, do 10 squats, and practice on DuoLingo every day. That is all. These are the only 3 non-negotiables for everyday for the next 2 weeks. Anything beyond this is an additional bonus. When you read this in April, I sure hope you've been consistent. But if you've not, let's try again, shall we? This is you working on you. You, not letting go of your own hand. There's hope. I know there is. There is a future out there where you'll love your job and be able to make money and ask Saby to chill if he wants to. Retire early or take a break. Give him the chance to reap the benefits of all his hard work and yours. There will be a day when you'll give him financial freedom and let him follow his curiosities, whatever they might be. I'm hopeful for him, but MOST IMPOTANTLY, I'm hopeful for you.
We've got this, and I love you :)
