A letter from Mar 03, 2026

Dear FutureMe, You're only writing this because today you received one from a year prior. It had horrible grammar and I'm pretty sure we were stoned as we wrote it and not using any sort of autocorrect because we were at the desktop. It made sense though and I just felt the need to write another one due to how much has changed in just a year. You're no longer suffering from ****** roommates, you quit your job two months ago and have been unemployed since because it broke you down completely and the opportunity you originally left for didn't fall through. Here the thing though, even with everything that's going on, you're still trucking and giving yourself a decent and well deserved rest and exploring passions your intensive job for 5 years made you forget. I'm not gonna lie, it's been hard managing finances with only Oliver's income but you're both making it work and are exploring different opportunities near and far. It's hard to imagine this is our life right now, but with Oliver at your side and your own hard work at hand, you can do anything. Here's to hoping that you found a place to work that you love and will stick with for more than 5 years that treats you with respect and understands you're human and not a robot. I know it's not easy, but you and Oliver can do this. Just keep going and it'll all work out. Giving up the things you've built together is not an option and everything you're going through will make you guys stronger than ever. Just think of everything you've been through so far! Also don't stop painting either. You enjoy it and have skills to make beautiful art people enjoy. Cheers, K from the future.
