Dear FutureMe,
Children's literature is literature for children, but it is also the foundation for learning, often leading to a love or dislike for literature. I've read multiple children's book very recently, as I substitute teach in younger classes that ask me to read to them. I loved fantasy and classic literature, and I loved historical narratives, fictional and real. I read constantly. Children are reading a lot of the same now, I've seen a lot of wings of fire and warrior cats type books while substitute teaching.
