Dear FutureMe,
Subject: You survived. You built something. Remember this.
Dear Future Me,
It’s been 10 years since I wrote this.
Right now, I’m full of dreams but also fear. I don’t have everything figured out. Sometimes I feel behind. Sometimes I wonder if I’m good enough, smart enough, or strong enough to really make it.
But even with all that, I’m still trying. And that matters.
I hope when you read this, you’ve built a career that gives you dignity — not just money, but respect. I hope you didn’t settle for comfort at the cost of your potential. I hope you chose growth even when it was scary.
Money… I hope you no longer stress the way I do now. I hope bills don’t control your peace. I hope you learned how to earn, save, invest, and give wisely. Not to show off — but to be free. Free to choose, free to help others, free to walk away from what doesn’t serve you.
If you’re wealthy now, remember the version of me who had nothing but belief. Stay humble. Stay generous. Don’t look down on anyone still climbing.
If you’re not where you wanted to be financially, please don’t hate yourself. You carried wounds, pressure, and responsibility that people never saw. You did your best with what you knew then.
Emotionally, I hope you healed. I hope you stopped proving yourself to people who never believed in you. I hope you learned to rest without guilt. I hope you learned that your worth was never tied only to success or money.
Please tell me this: Did you keep your integrity? Did you stay curious and disciplined? Did you become someone younger you would feel safe and proud to trust?
Whatever your answer is, I want you to keep going. Ten years from now is not the end — it’s just another chapter.
I believe in you.
I always have.
With love and faith,
Past You
