Dear Donxx,
Hello, I am from that not-so-distant past where you were arranging some pesky little forms before you could start your internship. Busy and irritating as documents always are, you still find time for being in your own blank space.
How can you not? When this very moment is a moment of liminality. A time when you were not sure where to go and what to do next. There are instructions, sure, but they were vague and clearly screaming that all is up to you. You tried to walk with purpose, but everything seems to blow you away in each and every direction.
You took it as if fate was guiding you, but who knew fate goes through a lot of rigid processes, detailed forms, tight nervous smiles, shaky hands, and costly jeepney rides? If it was not for some friendly faces, fresh acquaintances, the brimming excitement for this journey, and of course, the promise of gaining your first hard-earned pay (however little it might be), would you have lost your faith?
That is a question I ask of you now, having learned more, grown more, and seen more. Hopefully, is now leagues ahead of me that I can only ask my worrying questions knowing that you can easily calm me.
Just what is it like doing a job? Have we saved money? Were we able to buy things that we wanted? How many breads have we eaten? How is our fam? What's our plan now?
These are the questions that I am eager for you to answer, but I beg that you forget this letter for now so that you may be able to focus on what's ahead. I hope that when this letter finds you again, you are much healthier, content, and happy.
Sincerely,
Donxx
