A letter from Jan 12, 2026

Today’s date-January 7, 2026 Dear Future Me ( May 1, 2026) At this moment of time Miguel, you have been going to church more because of OCIA and you like it or even love it, also wrestling is going on and practices are really hard but you are still in it and trying. Moreover you’ve been helping your mom a lot with the banks or as much as you can help her, and you’ve been spending more time with her because of that but also not as much time because of wrestling so you are pretty busy these days. As of now you only know very few little things about the world because you are still not getting into news or information of the world, but what you do know is that a church from Europe got caught in a fire after 150 years made from today. Also what’s happening or happened is that Maduro the president from Venezuela got kidnapped and it’s very viral and it even became a meme. At this moment trying to know more God’s word and who he is and how he acts it’s really important, and especially church is important because OCIA started and you need to go to church for the reason that it’s an obligation by it. Also, trying to get rid of bad habits like distraction by avoiding getting on my phone right when I get home. In addition, this week coming up is important because state duals, so it’s going to be intense practice and overall a sense of pressure at least for me, but simply I’m just very nervous. Well Miguel look, let’s talk about goal don’t get scared because I know how you feel when people expect something out of you( I am literally you), your first goal is to keep your grade up 80 and higher, by turning in assignments on time doing them right when the teacher gives it to you, also don’t leave any assignment missing, because every assignment is important more than you think.Moreover in addition that is one goal that comes to mind at the moment. A personal goal you have right now and probably you will have for the rest of your life will be getting closer to Christ, by praying but don’t get confused about thinking you have to pray a certain way, talk to him as if he was sitting right in front of you. A second goal I want to achieve by may is finishing the book that my cousin kika(Yessica) gave me, the book is not a long read but since distraction happens a lot by other outside sources you struggle to read a book and finish it. Moreover the book is called “Balance( Getting comfortable being uncomfortable)”, by going home and simply showering after wrestling practice without using my phone those extra minutes I can use to read.
