Dear Given,
I am writing this letter to you from the past. Life has not been easy; you have faced one trial after another, but I am so glad that you never gave up. You have always persevered through everything, and I am proud of you for always looking forward.
The year 2026 is your year. I believe this with every fibre of my being. This is the year you will finally complete your degree and finish reading The Wheel of Time-that series you've been working through for the past two years. Additionally, this is the year you will start working out again. This time, stay consistent and do not waver, so you can build a body you are truly proud of. Most importantly, do not forget that this is the year you will finally write that book-the one that has been living rent-free in your mind.
This letter serves as a reminder of everything you want to achieve. By reading this, I hope you gain the courage and renewed strength to realise all of your goals. These next six months will either make you or break you. Push through. Do not let procrastination or laziness hinder you from achieving what you are capable of. And do not forget to thank God every day, he has been good to you and merciful, even after all the sins you've committed. He is always with you, always protecting you.
You know that New Year's resolutions are often just hopes and dreams that go unfulfilled; that is why you stopped making them and started taking action instead.
Mfana omdala, I wish you all the best. Know that I am proud of you, no matter what. You might lose your way there and there, but what is most important is that you dust yourself off and try again.
