Dear FutureMe,
I hope you’re doing well — really well. It’s been six months since you wrote this, and I just want to take a moment to check in. I hope your nursing prerequisites have gone great and that you’re proud of yourself for all the effort you’ve put in.
Right now, all I really want for you is to be happy and still enjoying college life. That’s truly all I could ask for. I know there have probably been challenges along the way, but I hope you’ve handled them with grace and kept believing in yourself.
If you’re reading this, congratulations for making it through another semester and for continuing to prove that you belong at UNC. You’ve worked hard to get here, and you deserve to be here. I hope you still remember that you are smart, capable, and more resilient than you sometimes give yourself credit for.
Keep taking care of yourself — mentally, emotionally, and physically. Keep chasing your goals, but don’t forget to pause and enjoy the little moments that make college special.
With love and pride,
Past You
