Time Travelled — 12 months

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Hi. It's 16-year-old Georgina. As I was reading over my letters as a 13-year-old girl, I realize that I actually was pretty bright. My writing was good. I felt like I could really feel the person who was writing that. Now, I feel less bright and weaker. I'm sitting here at fusion in homework cafe. I have math in 34 minutes. God, I hate math. Honestly, I am SUPER lost right now. I have no idea what's going on in my life. I'm genuinely fighting with everyone. My mom, my dad, grandma, I don't even speak to other family. Teddy and I speak once every few months, and it's usually just a "hi" in passing if he's at home. Annabel only talks to me if she needs something, and now that I'm living at home all our interactions are fights and screaming at each other. Aside from that, she never even bothers to look at me. My mother and I have been fighting like crazy. I mean, it was bad this summer, but it feels like an all-time low at this point. And then there's my dad, who I don't even live with anymore. It's actually his birthday today. I don't even know how old he is. 55? 56? Okay, he's 56. We got into a huge fight about a month ago, and he screamed at my mom and I. It's a long story. When we got into the fight, he was screaming at us on the phone while we were driving to Brown to see Teddy. After that visit, Teddy told grandma I seemed depressed. That really sucked to hear, honestly. I thought my depression was invisible. Sometimes I wish I was still at Tilton instead of Fusion. It's lonely here. I don't have any friends. There's this girl Julie who I heard about and Bella knows her so she had her add me on snap. I haven't met her though. Annabel Jackson also goes here. I should be happy. The holiday season is coming up, it's fall in New York City, and I live a really "lucky" life. I used to love these last few months of the year; September, October, November, December. But no. This year is different. I spent my sweet 16 in the psych ward days after slitting my wrist. I thought I would go back to Tilton, but they didn't let me come back. However, they let Aiden and Trent stay, the ones who i.) assaulted me and ii.) made fun of me for it. Sera left too. She found me. Honestly, the worst part was losing Mr. Landroche. We don't call anymore. I haven't heard his voice in two weeks. He sent me an article two weeks ago about how to be happy. I answered, asking him what he meant. A week later he replied: Have you figured it out? I said, "Yes of course. I had a great epiphany." He didn't reply. I realized I had ****** up again. Why doesn't he reply? But that was just me again. I'm sarcastic, lazy, and boring. And I guess he had begun to see that. When we had last spoke on the phone, he told me to read a certain book. I went to the bookstore to get it with Sofia. She had been in town for the weekend. She thinks he is a pervert. I don't. Anyways, I sent him a picture of the book: "Read this highly recommended." Again, me being sarcastic because he had recommended it to me. He said: "Already read it." Then, I asked if he liked it. No reply. I waited an hour. No reply. I knew he had read it by the next day, and I figured he had read it quickly because he replied to the original message within minutes. I haven't heard from him since, and that was Saturday evening. It's Monday morning. I'm sick of this, letting him control how I feel. I don't go to that school anymore. This is just a phase, and I should know that by now, considering how many treatment programs I have been to and the attachment issues I have suffered there. I have had many adults come and go, and this is just another instance. But Jovie went back to Tilton. She's taking my spot I feel like. He is her advisor. She is in the dorm I was supposed to be in. She probably takes the class I was supposed to take. I just can't think about this. It ******* sucks. I would do anything to go back. Just make this all stop and I would still be at Tilton. I'm so sick of my life right now. Every single day is autopilot. I have school in the mornings on Tuesday's and Thursday's, and school in the afternoon on Monday's and Wednesday's. I have therapy at 2 on the days I have school in the mornings. Therapy is fine. But it doesn't really help. Mr. Landroche is going to text me again today, though, asking to call. I know he will. He has to. Because this isn't over, and it never will be. I talk to Dr. Teitel about this. I am not sure what to do right now. But I have math in seven minutes so I should go. I know I will regret being a little ***** later on in life. Abby and I don't even talk that much. I drink on the weekends. Socially, of course. But I might start to drink alone to feel better. I carry a vape now. It's sad honestly. I'll talk to Teitel about this. I'll probably cry. But it's ok to cry sometimes. No one knows I feel this way. I just hope Landroche texts me again. I'm really sad without him. Really sad in general. But I should be ok, I hope. When you are seeing this, David will have just turned 57 and you will be 17. I hope all is okay. Love, 16-year-old Georgina.
