Dear FutureMe,
I'm a little late writing this, but hello again. I want to make a bunch of wishes and hope for things not to happen, but last year I did that and you managed to say "**** you" and do everything I told you not to do. I mean, hey, it worked out for the better. So I trust you again to do what's best for us. I hope you make more progress towards figuring out what makes you happy. I hope you feel more content with life and have more friends around you. I hope that you actually start this business. That you finally finished your app and that it's on the app stores. I hope that you started your journey towards being an entrepreneur. I really hope wonder where you and Stephanie will be. Hopefully still together and just as in love as you are now. I don't know if you need the reminder, but she's the person I wished for. She reminds me to keep working hard and at the same time, find ways to relax. She balances you really well and she makes life fun and enjoyable. She makes you laugh and to make things even better she's drop dead gorgeous. To be honest, I think I like her because she reminds me of us. To be honest, it wasn't until we were 25 that we got our act together. Sure we got a great job at 23, but we only did that because covid locked us up. With how we were, it would've probably taken us 5 or 7 years to do what we did in 2 years given that we were going out so much. Anyways, the point is, give her grace. Don't be too harsh on her. In a silly way, she's just a girl. And the best girl to have to be honest. She just wants to be happy. She wants you to be happy with her. And she wants you to be safe. So I hope that you listen to her and that you were safe for the year.
For you, I hope that you learn to love your family more. I hope that you find peace in your relationship with your brother. Right now, he's not talking to you for whatever reason. And for some reason, you're currently okay with it. You feel like it's less work and less stressful to try to be something that you're not. To be honest, you don't throw money at the problem, you just throw what you have at the problem. What you're good at. And what you're good at is managing the situations that is your family. You know when to say yes now and you're learning how to better say no. You made lots of stride in that particularly this year. I hope that you learn that your time is valuable, beyond invaluable. And that also means that you don't need to throw monetary value at the problem, you just need to give yourself. Wholeheartedly. In fact, I hope you remember that you never needed the money to be there for people. I know it's hard to believe because that's all that people ask you for. I think that you have a long way to go to heal from your money trauma and that's okay. You're getting there. You've been feeling more comfortable and more happy with your nest egg because you have a good amount of cushion for yourself now. I hope you realize that you're safe. That you can take risks and that you've secured a good future for yourself. Just keep learning. Anyways I'm going to go hangout with our girlfriend. I love you, keep making good decisions.
Sincerely,
You from the past
