Time Travelling — 11 months

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, You got married three days ago! How are you feeling now?? As of this letter, you're ecstatic!! Though you're stressed out from work at the moment, lol. I hope you get into at least one of the three programmes you applied to at UWI (preferably M.Ed. Educational Psychology). I hope I don't jinx it, but you guys should be living together right now, somewhere between St. Catherine and St. Andrew. You should be preparing to begin (or already have begun classes). God, I hope we're doing well in the marriage, but in case we're not, therapy is always an option. Just always remember how much you love each other and that every conflict has a solution. Please remember to always communicate how you feel respectfully. DO NOT wait for it to fester and randomly blow up. I hope your finances are also going as well as they can. Remember to budget accordingly. I hope you took that week/weekend long honeymoon in Portland, and I hope it was fantastic. Take trips like that at least twice a year. Another thing to both of you, remember to ask for help when you need it. Please do not carry your weight alone. A marriage should strengthen the support both of you already provide to each other. Share the chores equally, according to what you can handle on that particular day. If he's too tired, you do them, if you're too tired, he does them. If you're both too tired, hire a cleaner and go take a drive to the countryside (You laugh, but it works)! Remember to reread the marriage handbook and refer to the premarital course if need be (The access to the premarital course ends on October 9, 2026). Remember to exercise also! If you guys could take walks in the morning before school/work, that would be great. Get your general, gyno, and dental checkups in order. Remember, you have a health card! Get a health card for your husband also if you haven't already. Congratulations on your marriage once again!! I wish you both never ending and always strengthening love, peace, and happiness. Love, Past Janel P.S. Remember to tell Kezia Happy Birthday!
