A letter from Oct 07, 2025

Time Travelled — 8 months

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, It'll have been several months since I wrote this letter, and I sincerely hope you've stuck it out, ready to take your exams, no matter the score out of twenty. In fact, I hope this letter serves as some kind of motivation for you, to push through, even when things get incredibly hard, knowing what this year has in store for us, impossible. Which it might very well be. Tomorrow, the eighth of October, will mark my first full week back at school, high school that is, a sentence I've feared in a very primal way. Now that I've gotten back some semblance of control on my own life, insane to think of high school as being a period of life in which one exercices control over his or hers life, but for me it rings true. For so long, I have been freefalling, and just recently have I tried ways back onto stable ground, none worked out. This so far, has been the most tangible ground I've tread on in many years, I can feel change, good and bad, but I believe myself ready. I can only guess what you feel, a mixture of shame? Fear? Sadness? Anxiety for what's to come? Or maybe, I can only pray really, pride? I hope you know I've got your back, and I hope you'll have mine, we can always figure something else out but if you stick to this, just know I admire you more than you'll remember. We're gonna try to stick to love from here on out, so love and good luck, break a leg, not your heart, Lili from October 7th, LLCE, 9:12am
