Dear FutureMe,
I have mono, I’m out of rowing until the 27th of October (it’s currently the second!) and I’m hella upset. But at the same time I feel amazing. My value isn’t completely dependent on my erg scores anymore, I feel like I’m a part of a community that doesn’t just care about how fast I am. Most people don’t even know that I’m a fast rower.
I have no ******* idea who my big will be, so far I don’t think any of the dates I’ve been on have been with “the one” but that’s okay- two weeks left! I do have to say that I wish it was Sarah, though. I hope that sentiment lasts.
A year from now I BETTER be in the 1v. If you’re not in the 1v what are you even doing. I also sincerely hope that I still have a 4.0… that’s so important now, please tell me you’re keeping it up. Also, what happened with Matt….
I digress. I’m so excited for my future here. I love doing homework and learning now, it doesn’t just feel like a waste of time. It is genuinely motivating. My sorority is great, too. It feels so good to be around girls who don’t just **** talk 24/7. I don’t know that the west coast is the best coast anymore, although I do miss beach sunsets.
If I could say I love you to 3 people right now, two of them would be mom and dad. I hope dad is still well when you receive this, but I know it’s possible that he’s sick again or even dead. Recently I’ve been regretting again how little time I’ve spent with him. That’s one of my goal.
I hope you don’t still love Callum, but right now I do. So I would have to say I love you to him…
