Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Today I am 22. I`d love to party but I currently have a fractured ankle. My roommates (Nic and Laurent) want to do something but I think it will just be pizza and a movie. I am single and feeling great about that. I hurt myself doing roller derby last week and had planned a full party with my friends, and my roommates`friends. It would have been a good one I think. With my ****** up foot, I cannot leave my home so I feel like I`m going through quarantine again, only this time its worse since I can`t walk and everyone else can go outside. The world isn`t fair. Mom and Dad are fine. Simon died sometime last week. It will be strange not seeing him anymore. I will miss him. Mom and Dad aren`t giving me the emotional support I want and I thought I`d ask for money as a poor mans substitute, but I really am not materialistic. Especially not on my birthday. I`m a terrible gift receiver. I know this. All my friends recent support in lieu of my ankle has been enough. It was a genuine shock to me how people can love me. Maybe when I am 22 I will accept and foster more love with the people around me. Here`s to hoping, Mandy age 22
