Dear FutureMe,
I’m writing this letter as a reminder of why I started saving and what I’m working toward. Saving money isn’t always easy, but I know it’s worth it because these goals will help me in the long run.
One of my main goals is to save $1,000 for a new laptop within the next two years. Having a laptop will make schoolwork easier and give me the tools I need for classes, projects, and future opportunities. My bigger, long-term goal is to save money for college tuition. College is a big step toward building the life I want, and saving early will make it less stressful later.
I know I might face some challenges, like wanting to spend on things I don’t really need or not having as much money to save if my hours at work are cut. To handle this, I plan to automate my savings so money goes directly into a separate account, cut back on small extra purchases, and use any extra cash from birthdays or side jobs to reach my goals faster.
Future me, remember that saving takes patience. Even if progress feels slow, every dollar adds up. Stay focused, stay disciplined, and keep reminding yourself why these goals matter. You’ve got this!
Sincerely,
Tenzin
