Dear FutureMe, Hello again! Another letter from past you that you will inevitably not remember you wrote until it arrives. Happy birthday EVIE!!!!! As usual I will include what you wrote the last few years and then give a description of what’s happening now. Here’s what happened previously lol: “I’m writing this to you because I just received an email from 24 year old Evie. She wrote the following on Oct 2nd 2023 “ This time last year you were in France, I just came out the Gilbert Joseph book store with 2 Harry Potter books and 2 random French books. It’s so hot and I’m very sweaty, I haven’t managed to buy any sun cream yet. They put me in a B2 class for French but I’m feeling imposter syndrome, but I need to be out of my comfort zone. I love you, joyeux 25eme anniversaire.” I completely forgot about it as I’m sure you’ll have forgotten about this!! Happy 26th Evie, this time last year you were writing this while sitting next to Grey on the sofa watching The Office in Sunny Nice (although it was rainy that day). You went to class from 8:45-12:00 every weekday to learn French. And today you wrote 4 post cards to your family and your partner Dan. It’s also national poetry day so you wrote some limericks for your friends, check your iPhone notes app for them. I’m going to write one now for future me (you!!): “There once was an Evie named Evie, Whose life was quite full of reprieve-y. At twenty-six years, With no more of life’s fears, They’d finally found their own achieve-y. Past Evie sends love to future Evie, Hoping life’s journey has been quite dreamy. May you travel with glee, And live life wild and free, Just remember, you’re always loved by me!” I hope next year is our year to thrive, and not just survive. You got this!! Beaucoup de bisous, Evie <3“ So that’s what happened before, I just read that all out to Grey and Dan who is driving in the car on our way back from Alton Towers. There’s about 27 minutes until we’re back at our home in Nottingham. Shan is fast asleep next to me lol, but Dan did just break rather sharply and it woke up briefly lol. You’re 27 this year, please for the love of god have you passed your driving test yet? I’ll love you either way but **** girl we gotta work on that. I hope you’re doing well, Dan is doing well. The house we live in together is a 3 storey terraced house. I hope we’re getting towards buying a house. We’re also getting ready to go to Australia, typically I don’t have anything packed or organised yet! I feel as if I’m rambling but genuinely we’re stuck in traffic right now I guess I don’t have much to else to do than word vomit at you. Dan and Shan just said hi to the future, I think Grey may also be sleeping. I was about to sign off but I just want to reiterate, HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVIE 27 YEARS OF THIS NONSENSE!!!! I asked everyone else what I should tell you but honestly I think we’re all exhausted from the day, 14.4k steps !!!! Keep going, do us proud and know I love you so much and we deserve to feel happy.
