Dear FutureMe,
hopefully, you haven’t died at this point.
at this message’s creation, you are typing in your bed, newly-purchased weighted blanket draped across your legs, newly-purchased positivity journal prompting you to exhaust your thumbs. you already walked 3 miles this morning. you did not die. the sun shined. butterflies flew. wind, though not satiating enough, kept you going. your motivation does not matter. it is action. that is all you need to do. big or small.
in six months, i hope that action has prevailed. you are not back to sleeping your days away and caught in your vicious gain/lose-the-same-10-pounds cycle. you are leaner. you are happier. you are stronger. you have more tattoos. you smile more. you look forward to the sun. to meals. to self-pleasure.
it is hard, but please. for past me. for child us, we need change. we need to be okay.
please be okay.
