Dear FutureMe, I hope you start to see that you don't need to control everything around you, but you also don't need to accept it either. I hpoe you've learned more about the art of letting go. I hope you stop blaming yourself for saving yourself. I hope you get everything you ever dreamed of. You don't need to sell and barter what you want for what others want, they can coexist. I hope you keep your sense of self because you are kind and caring and you don't have to give all you are away to prove that. You deserve to receive too, please believe that. I hope you are starting to believe that. I hope you're learning Korean, still traveling, reading, ice skating, salsa dancing, kickboxing, learning, growing, because letting go of that guy doesn't mean you lost yourself. You lost the version of you that was willing to compromise away all her wants and needs just to keep someone happy because you thought that was love.
