A letter from September 20th, 2025

Time Travelled — 12 months

Peaceful right?

A letter to my best friends, who will move away tomorrow to start a new beginning. I promised I'd go visit them next year, around this time. I really hope I do.

Summers are usually long and boring,Nothing much to do but ride bikes and eat ice cream. But this summer was different.
As the nights shift from warm to cold,And the sun fades from white to gold,That’s how our friendship began with “hello”But why do I have to say goodbye?
I knew you’d be happy and alive,So I didn’t cry.I knew you’d be happier, starting a new beginning,And as summer ends, so does a chapter. But from that ending, something new will start.
What a summer, I say,Full of mystery, sorrow, nostalgia, and joy,All packaged into a memoryI’ll never forget.
The familiar cricket song,The cold of that last summer night,The warmth of our goodbye,It all lingers.
But there’s still so much to explore,So much more to see and do,With those who care.
Will I survive the winter loneliness? What if today’s memories stretch into forever?I wouldn’t mind, it was a beautiful moment.
Even with all the emotion,I’m grateful. Not everyone gets to say goodbyeWhen there’s nothing left to say goodbye to.
This is the moment I’ll replay each night:The last summer whisper,The final feeling.
Please… stay with me.
We didn’t get to finish.Come with me, let’s have an eternal summer.Let’s ride our bikes and eat ice cream,Play basketball until the sky turns pitch black.Let’s talk, and laugh about anything.
But please,Don’t let me go.
Even if we’re far apart,Let’s keep each other forever in our hearts.
How did everything lead to this moment? Will I see you again? The same you?
I hope we don’t change too much,So we can still recognize each other’s hearts.
When the flowers bloom,And the sun turns white againThat’s when I’ll see you.
Even if you don’t know,I’ll be there.
This may stay in the past,But I will never move past it.
Enjoy the new season of your life,And maybe, just maybe…I’ll return in a special episode one day.
Summertime. A moment I will always remember, with you.
