Dear FutureMe,
I did this in high school and I guess I’m doing it again. Throughout my four years there I grew, evolved, and felt more like a fleshed-out human being — not a background figure flowing through other people’s stories. What I want for you is more flesh. More meat on your metaphorical bones, stringy twine of tales, people, experiences and stories that help shape the muscles that keep you moving. I want limbs and ligaments, tendons and teeth for you to bite with whenever you feel yourself fading into the background again. I want you to feel confident, responsible, active, reactive, and just everything that this new world of yours requires of you. I want you to live up to expectations and be the best self you can be.
