Dear FutureMe,
it’s me - I mean you - from September 2025. How have you been? I hope all is well. By the way, did you end up passing that development psychology exam on the 25th? I sure hope you did, it would suck for present you to have to take it again. But anyways, this is not why I’ve decided to write to you. I know things have been hard in the last couple of years, but I wanted to remind you of how far you’ve come. Just think back to the beginning of 2024: you’ve dealt with arguably the worst breakup in your life, two losses and a drastic financial decline. But you still made it this far, and not only that, but you did that while off-meds. How hard is that? I don’t think you give yourself enough credit. I know things might not be perfect, and that some people (ahem… your parents…) might argue that you’re lazy or unmotivated or “behind”, but try looking at the big picture. You’re doing amazing, and you have been for years now. You even found love again, and even though you might be a little tentative now, I’m sure things will be okay, in one way or another.
I’m proud of you.
Yours truly,
past you.
