Dear FutureMe,
Hi!
Maybe time does heal all wounds. Life is a little better today, while I am still stuck in a dead end town, same old job and still no driver's license, I feel different. I'm letting go. My future is me and not the pain that was passed onto me. I am worthy, I am strong.
Sometimes I have very bad days where anxiety and fear and guilt threaten take over me, making me feel like that small, innocent, unprotected child I once was. I am not her anymore, I am an adult and I'm safe. I am safe.
I miss my mother very much and every day, I hope someday we can reconnect. I hope she heals, I hope she lets go of her pain. That is something I have to repair by myself.
I think you will still be alone in a year but I hope you are happier than I am today.
I love you.
