Dear FutureMe,
Happy 24th Birthday!
Your 23-year-old self is going through a lot struggling financially, mentally, and emotionally. No travels, no birthday parties, not even a simple dinner. Just long days of working hard, trying to make ends meet. Still, I truly hope that by the time you read this, you were able to celebrate your 24th birthday in a joyful way.
This year has been heavy. We just went through your younger brother’s heart surgery, Baby Z is recovering from HFM disease, and Grandma continues to struggle with her health. Financial freedom still feels so far away. We even had to sell our phone to cover bills and debts, and yet it still wasn’t enough. I hope that by now, things have improved, and you are in a better place.
Through it all, we’ve had love and support. We have Karl, and we have Zion. With them by our side, we can endure anything. This is just a phase, just a breakthrough moment it’s part of our journey, but it’s not the whole story.
So, happy birthday again, self. I hope this year you are smiling, celebrating, and shedding tears of joy instead of pain. I love you so much, and I’m rooting for you always.
With love,
Your 23-year-old self
