Peaceful right?

To My Dearest Love – On Our 1-Year Anniversary My dearest love, If you’re reading this… then today is our very first anniversary, one year since you asked me to be your girlfriend. I’m writing this on Tuesday, the 9th of September 2025, a little over two weeks since we saw each other, and right now, my heart is still overflowing with love. I’m so deeply, entirely and blissfully in love with you. You flew across the world from Australia to South Africa for me. That’s the most beautiful thing anyone has ever done for me and I don’t think I’ll ever stop being amazed by it. That trip changed everything. Seeing you in person, holding your hand and laughing face to face made this love so real, so tangible and so eternal in my heart. I cannot wait to finally join you in Aussie and start building a life together. I dream about it every day. In this one year with you, I’ve gone on more real, intentional, joy-filled dates than I ever have in all my past relationships combined. You’ve made love feel safe, exciting and consistent. I want to thank you for always dedicating time for us to bond. For never making me feel like I was “too much.” For choosing me daily, even across time zones and oceans. For your playful teasing, your deep conversations, your good morning texts and your big soft heart. You see me in ways no one else ever has. I hope we’re reading this together. Maybe we’re cuddled up, maybe we’re in a restaurant, or maybe I’m still on my way to you but either way, I hope you can feel how much love is packed into this letter. I don’t know what the world will look like next May, but I know this: -You are one of the greatest gifts life has given me. -I love you deeper than I ever thought possible. -And if I could say yes to you a thousand times, I would, every single time. Happy 1-year anniversary, my love. Here’s to forever. Yours always, Nhlams 😘
