Dear FutureMe,
How are things?
Starting at xaverian, I’m really worried about whether or not I’ll make friends. Proper friends, not just classmates I talk to. I do miss having people around me that know me, I underestimated how exhausting it is to introduce myself again and again. Do you have people you’d call friends?
Do we know who we are yet?
Something I’ve learned while having to tell people about myself is that… I don’t really have anything to say. Nothing I’d like to share. I say I read and watch films and I like poetry and art. But it’s more that I wish I did those things more, rather than I’m deep into them now. I wish I was a little more interesting, wish I had more to talk about, wish I explored myself more. Do we have hobbies, actual hobbies?
Do we still think about them?
You know who. Or maybe you read this and you have no idea what I'm talking about at first, that would be nice. My stomach still kinda drops when I see someone that looks like her on campus, or God forbid I see her. I still have conversations in my head to nobody in particular about them, and I don’t even see them anymore. Have we left it in the past, have we moved on?
Are you happy?
There’s this chronic dull ache in me, I feel so heavy with sadness. Like under all the layers of pain and struggle it’s just an empty void. Melodramatic, I know. But it’s how I feel you know? Can you accept that? Have we moved past our bad habits, gotten healthier, happier?
Oh yeah, did you start working out? Do we have our splits? Abs yet? Don’t worry we don’t need abs, but did we reach our fitness goals too?
Have a good one<333
