Time Travelled — about 1 year

Peaceful right?

Dear Future Me,
Paul just left after Labor Day. He is going to be 22 this year! I hope he is still happy with his life.
I am almost a year at my job at BJC as a caseworker. I recently found out my retirement benefits will be cut due to my hiring date. I've been thinking of staying there another year. I could save up money, be fully vested in my 401k, and keep all of my sign on bonus. Plus I could continue the skills and knowledge I've built. Starting a new job is scary!
My career counselor said it is not all about money, which is true. However I would like to be set for the future. I may want to go back to school or be able to live on my own. I'm approaching 26 where I'll be flying on my own health benefits. Who knows what Trump will do/is doing....
I'm not sure how to make it another year mentally. I fight with my father and bother my mother. I also would like a manager who can be more there for me. Maybe I'll get a raise. $20 would rock! Then around this time, I was thinking of going on a solo trip to Japan or wait until spring to see the cherry blossoms. I would have more money and I could spend 2 weeks there. I also thought about working there but spending a year away from my mom sounds dreadful.
Anyway, I hope you made the best choice for yourself. I hope you're happier. I wish you the best.
Lily
