Dear FutureMe,
I just finished my first week of college. My roommate, Aidan, is chill and a great person to live with so far. All my classes this semester are relatively easy, but my CM class will be the most challenging, I think. I'm mostly nervous about finding where I fit around here. The people I've met so far are great, but I haven't really hung out with a lot of new people. Brett and Dillon are definitely not the right guys to be hanging around (I'm totally not joining a frat). Choir is fun, but the late schedule is horrid, and I'd much rather be in bed at 9 pm.
I hope I experience true love. Jk... unless. I'm going to really try and get good grades and be successful this first year, as well as find some good friendships.
Stay out of trouble, don't get arrested, and don't drink (a lot). Don't do stupid ****. Make your future and past self proud of who you become. Think about your future family, not the one you think dictates your every move. This is an era of growth and opportunity, so don't blow it on fleeting crap, but try and make the most of it. Don't waste your time on a boy who doesn't give you the time of day. Spend that energy on being okay with yourself, and eventually find someone as awesome as you. Someone who shows up as much as you do. College is scary, but keep up your grades and maintain your relationships. You're on your own, kid.
