Dear FutureMe, Happy Birthday, my love! When you were 24, you have many versions of you. Life taught you many things. You became a girlfriend. You became an ex. You became the person you didn't want to be. You became the person you didn't know you could be. You disrespected your values for a temporary person. You became toxic. You committed to sin. You blame others for the outcome of your decisions. You ignored the signs you asked from God. You now know what do you want in man. You learned how to love yourself. And the most important of it all? You bring yourself closer to God. You became aware of your sins. You thought that you're doing well because you didn't cheat, you didn't ****, you didn't covet, and you didn't steal. For in Psalms 18:28 "For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness." My darkness shed to light. He reveals me of my sins. I judge people. I held my pride high. I am consumed by lust. I am consumed by my anger. I don't know how to forgive. I want to please people. I gave my purity to a temporary person. I wanted to be in control. I didn't know how to extend grace. I let my emotions led me--and eventually led me to my destruction. I lived in my wicked ways. I gave in to the pleasures of this world. I WALK, I BREATH, I EAT HERE ON EARTH ALL BECAUSE OF HIS GRACE. Grabe. Ang taas ng tingin ko sa self ko. God humbled me, and I'm grateful for it. For months, I couldn't eat. Often times, I vomit. I would pray. I would cry in repentance. I would surrender everything to the Lord God. I surrender him my guilt, my sins, my bitterness. I asked for forgiveness, and asked to teach me how to forgive. Today's August 26. Gagawin mo na sana yung Learning Task mo, but here you are reading a letter from your 25-year-old self. So anyway, I love you, self! I'm hoping now that you're 26, you now know who you are in Christ. You pray and attend service with your family. And if it's God's will, with your partner who is a man of God. He will lead you closer to Him. He will love you just like how God loves us. Your dates will be filled with devotion and worshipping God. I hope that you will be healed spiritually. You will speak blessing to other people. You're no longer chained from your past, because God transformed your heart. I hope that you guard your heart na ngarod, wen? Leave your life of sin.
