Peaceful right?

You Still Have Her, But I Only Have You — An Open Letter to the One I Loved Enough to Let Go Nokhod...... It’s strange, isn’t it? To love someone so much that even their happiness without you hurts. That’s where I am — caught between wishing you joy and aching that I’m no longer part of it. I wasn’t even sure what we were. You told me you loved me like a sister, but not a girlfriend. That complicated label haunted me, making me question what I truly meant to you. You didn’t delete me. But then, when I finally created Instagram, you blocked me. Maybe you didn’t want me to see how easily you moved on. So I blocked you too — not out of anger, but because I had to protect what was left of me. You say you want me to be part of your life… Even now, while you’re serious with someone else. But how can I be? How can I stay in your world when I was never truly given a place in it? You want my presence without my feelings. My support without my heart. You want me to stay… while loving someone else. We stopped speaking, became silent witnesses to a shared past. Then one day, a friend sent me a photo of you smiling with her. Doing things we never did — things I once asked for, things you said you weren’t ready for. But you gave them to her, all at once, so effortlessly. And that’s what hurts. We met at our lowest. I stood by you, helped you with school, watched you graduate. I prepped your clothes, packed your food, got you ready for work. I loved your family and friends like they were mine. I gave you everything — quietly, patiently, completely. And when you were finally ready to give… You gave yourself to someone else. I waited, hoping for a moment when you’d be ready for me. But at the same time, the waiting tore me apart. So I decided to let you go — even though it broke me. Later, I realized the real sadness: I hurt seeing you struggle, because I still care. And I hurt seeing you thrive, because I’m no longer in your happiness. I still cry looking through our old photos. That kind of pain is uncontrollable. You still have her by your side, but I only have memories of you. How could you ever understand my sadness? Let her love you for me now. Forgive me for not being able to bless you out loud. Even if we never walk the same path again, I still hope you keep getting better and better. Maybe one day, time will blur your face and soften your name. Maybe I’ll forget what you sounded like, how you looked at me. But I will always remember that once, you lit up my world like a beam of light. You must remember this: During the time we were together, I was truly devoted. I really loved you. Even if the ending wasn’t what I wanted, I gave you everything I had. And that thought is both my comfort and my heartbreak. I’ve spent too many nights choking on sobs, unable to sleep. Missing you with no one to tell. Wanting to love again but feeling like I can’t. I’ve tried to let you go, but helplessness keeps finding me. It’s a terrible kind of pain — walking beside someone on a road to nowhere. The road was short, but unforgettable. Meeting you was one of the happiest things in my life. The story was short. The beginning was beautiful. The ending… was tragic. I don’t speak of right or wrong. I don’t speak of debts or blame. I just think about you in silence. I miss you but never forget you. I remember you but will never see you again. That’s the truest form of love I have left to offer.
