Dear Me,
Hi from Vancouver! It's my last day here on vacation. I've had such an amazing time, I'm considering moving here after high school. How did things work out? It's so crazy to me that by the time you're reading this it'll have been over a year since Joshua broke up with us. So far, it doesn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I think I was already mentally checked out of that relationship for a long time, and I'm glad I'm out. What's it like with Reese? Oh man those late night face times while I was here.. I was so drunk. I wonder if I'll look back and think it was a mistake. I have no idea how to navigate my feelings anymore, I just need some time away from everyone and everything, that's why I was so grateful for this trip. Remember how you Tracey and Sean got drunk at the PNE? We were all stumbling around playing games to win prizes, you went home with 4 different prizes. Sean even dedicated a song to you at the Dueling Piano Kings, the guy sang Lose Yourself by Eminem but to Mozart. Oh and don't forget about that Moscow Mule you had at the Counting Crows concert, that drink was soooo good you'll have to make it again if you haven't already. Remember the time you were up in Birkenhead for the first time and drank that Watermelon Mojito? Oh my God it was horrible!! You threw up twice that night and tried to clean it but it was really difficult. Remember going out fishing for the first time with Sean? That was a very insightful day filled with poetic thoughts, but it was also nice to just have time with Sean. Oh and don't forget that Tate McRae concert, I know you probably don't want to think about this but remember how you and Tracey completely missed the dress code? Oh my, you wore that beautiful yellow dress while everyone else was in leopard print leather and the color red. You still looked incredible that night even if it looked like you were going to a Sabrina Carpenter concert. You tried your first Aperol Spritz that night too, I remember loving that drink to pieces. And Tate was so incredible to watch, it made me wish I could be doing what she does one day too.
I've felt so inspired in the time I've had here. I've written so many new chord progressions, had so many lyric ideas, I think that this city could really be something for me. I know by the time you get this there's a chance you'll be off to college, but just don't forget how meaningful the time you had here was and how inspired you felt here. It felt like home.
Anyways, I hope everything is at least slowly working itself out and that you've released music by now, please for heavens sake tell me you have lol. I love you so much and I believe in you more than anyone.
All my love,
Me
