Dear FutureMe,
How are you? I wrote this letter to talk about what I hope you'll become soon.
I hope you'll stop being a people pleaser — it's not entirely bad, but have some boundaries and self-respect. It's not bad to be alone for a while, I think it's better than surrounding yourself with people who drain and bring you down. Please don't force yourself to fit in with others just because you feel so low and pathetic. Be comfortable with being yourself— be weird, quiet, and genuine because that's who you truly are.
I hope you fix your relationship with God. Tell Him anything, include Him in every way, and thank Him for everything. God is not mad at you for distancing yourself when things get overwhelming to handle, for thinking of running away and isolating yourself, because that's what you've been doing to comfort yourself. I know you know He's still waiting for your return. It's okay, and it'll be okay.
I hope you stop overthinking everything— what they said, what you think they meant by those things, and so on. There are just many things that are out of your control, and that's fine. You don't need to control everything to feel stable. Focus on what YOU can control in your own life, and stop worrying about other people.
I hope that you become unapologetic about who you're becoming. Stay humble and genuine to yourself and others.
Lastly, I hope by the time you find this letter again, you now become what you wanted to be.
