Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, hiii cristinee, you might be surprised by the sudden letter. I'm writting this letter today august 9, 2025 as I just send the "sendthesong" message for kent. I know na you'll remember him. He's your first boyfriend HAHAHA but remembering him might also be painful to you till that day, that's the type of person you are. If you’re reading this, it’s probably been years since that Thursday night. August 8, 2025. I’m writing this to remember, to be honest with myself, and maybe to finally put certain feelings to rest. This is about Kent, my first boyfriend, my first love. He came into my life teaching me things I never knew I needed to learn. He fixed parts of me I didn’t even know were broken. He made me laugh in ways I hadn’t laughed before, and he gave me moments where I truly saw myself happy, moments I thought could last forever. I can’t forget how kind his mother was to me. In her own quiet way, she made me feel welcome, like I belonged somewhere safe. It’s strange how kindness like that lingers, even when everything else falls apart. But love is never just the good parts. At some point, Kent also became the source of the kind of pain that lingers. the kind you carry quietly, even into the future. I never hated him for it, maybe because I understood he was hurting too. But I wish he understood that I was hurt just as deeply. I wish he had listened, really listened, to what my silences meant. We fell into miscommunication more times than I can count, losing our way in misunderstandings until the distance between us felt like another person in the room. The night we ended, I didn’t cry much, just a few tears. Not because I didn’t love him anymore, but because I had already learned the feeling of being left by him, piece by piece, long before that night. We were both the midnight rain. unpredictable, restless, still too young and too confused to weather each other’s storms. And yet, even in the short period we were together, I was genuinely happy. But the truth is, that happiness couldn’t outweigh all the nights I cried because of him. Love was there, but so was the ache. I hope by the time you read this, you’ve healed. I hope you’ve learned to love yourself the way you once loved him fiercely, without holding back. Remember that you both had your wrongs, and that’s okay. You grew from it. You survived it. I still wish him the best, wherever he is. But I hope our paths never cross again not out of hate, but out of peace. Some people aren’t meant to return to our lives, only to remain as chapters we’ve already read. Kent gabriel miralles I wish you well, stranger. -jaurim
