Dear FutureMe,
I don’t even know where to start. You know you haven’t always been someone who looks ahead, but maybe that’s changed since I wrote this letter. I’ve never really been one to think about the future, mostly because it stresses me out. It’s not that I feel envy or jealousy when others talk about their futures—I just feel lost, since I never seem to have a clear plan for my own. I do know that I want to become a better version of myself, and I’ve been working on making improvements. It’s hard, though, when I keep taking my own time for granted and struggle with self-motivation every day. I’m leaving this letter in the hope that you’ve changed your bad habits by encouraging yourself to become the best version of you. I hope you get the job you’ve always worked toward and finally achieve financial stability, relieving the burdens you’ve struggled with for years due to the unpredictable economy. Of course, I also want you to have the dream body you’ve always wanted—because that means you found the motivation within yourself, since no one else could inspire you like you can. And finally, I hope you find the partner you’ve always dreamed of, even though you once believed there was no one out there for you. Even if none of your future dreams come true, I hope you find peace in loving who you are and in the way you choose to live your life.
Sincerely,
Anonymous J
