Dear FutureMe,
Hello, Zahra of 8 years later,
I hope by now, you've touched the sky you once dreamed of, and walked the path you always imagined — barefoot or bold, but with a heart full of courage. I hope you’ve visited the cafés where your thoughts once wandered, sat by a window with your favorite book, sipping tea while watching life pass slowly and beautifully.
I hope you’ve finally stood in front of the museum you once saw only in pictures — your eyes wide with wonder, your heart full of gratitude. And more than anything, I hope you’ve become the powerful leader you always promised the world you'd be — a voice for women, a light for those in the dark.
I imagine you walking with confidence across the stage at Harvard University, your footsteps echoing with strength and purpose. You're seated in your first political science class — a room filled with ambition, books too heavy to carry, and questions too deep to answer. Your eyes are locked on the professor, but your mind is busy with thoughts — strong, burning questions about justice, freedom, and the future you wish to shape.
Wherever you are now, I hope you haven’t forgotten the girl who believed in all of this — who dreamed despite the silence, who rose despite the odds. Never let her go. She is your root, your fire, your truth.
With endless love and pride,
Zahra — the girl who still believes in you. 🌿✨
