Time Travelled — 12 months

Peaceful right?

To My Future Self,
If you’re reading this, maybe you’re missing him again. Maybe you're wondering “What if?” or thinking “Should I have reached out?” Let me remind you of the truth.
You walked away not because you stopped loving him but because you finally loved yourself enough to let go of someone who couldn’t meet you where you are. You waited. You gave grace. You gave effort. You made space for him to try but he didn’t. You saw the patterns. How he avoided the hard conversations. How he shut down when it mattered most. How he let pride speak louder than love. You sent your last message not to beg but to honor your heart. To close a door with dignity. That was strength, not shame. You miss the intimacy, the memories, the smallest things. But love shouldn't feel like a battlefield. You deserve someone who chooses you not just in the good, but also when things get hard.
So if today feels heavy, take a deep breath. You’re allowed to feel it. You’re allowed to grieve. But don’t forget. You didn’t lose him. You freed yourself. You didn't choose pride. You chose peace. And I am so, so proud of you.
With love,You, from the day you finally chose yourself
