dear dorothy, congrats on becoming legal! if all has gone to plan, you should be celebrating in a new york city bar with your parents as we speak. but if not, oh well! at this exact moment in time, it is ten minute until my 20th birthday. to be honest, i am pretty freaked out by the idea of entering my 20s. also: clairo has just released a song that has my birthday on it, hannah is texting me about my favorite desserts, i am debating when would be the best time to arrange a bouquet of flowers, i just finished face masks with mom, i made dad ask for in-n-out hats at dinner, and now i am speed-typing this. it is strange to know that this is my last moments of being a teenager, but it's also comforting that things are only beautiful because they have an end. while i will cherish this era in my life, i also have cautious optimism for what's ahead. anyways, i love you. have fun wherever you are! - doro, age 19
