Dear FutureMe,
How are you? Its me your 18yrs old Gly. I hope you're doing well. Right now, I’m an incoming college student—wow. I’m finally stepping into college life. To be honest, I’m kind of scared. It’s a whole new environment, with new faces to meet and new challenges to face.
I also feel like I’ve added another disappointment... I didn’t pass the entrance exam for Nursing, and not even for my second choice, MedBio. As of now, I still don’t have a university. But deep down, I know there’s a reason for this. Maybe I’m being redirected, not rejected.
So, be happy for me—and for you. You took the risk. You didn’t enroll at WPU even when it was the easy option. Instead, you chose to wait and hope for an opening in PSU, despite not being sure if you’ll even qualify. And your backup? HTU. You’re still holding on, hoping to get a scholarship. That’s how much you believed something better is ahead.
I don’t know what future looks like now. But I know, and I’m entirely sure—you’re proud of yourself. You became wiser, more faithful, and braver. Brave enough to make hard choices. Brave enough not to listen to what others said. Because at the end of the day, it’s your life. Your decisions matter the most.
And Gly, no matter how rough things get, no matter how heavy the burdens on your shoulders become—when your silent battles start to feel like wars—don’t forget to pray. Just pray. Let God be the center of it all. And everything will fall into place.
Love,
Glyssa :)
