Hello you! Or rather, hello ME, but in 5 years in the future.
It's June 12th and 3:15 p.m. I'm 21 years old. And when I read this email again, I'll be 26.
I'm writing this email because I want to read about what I was afraid of when I wrote it. And I hope that when I read it in five years, I'll see that everything is OK, that I'm OK.
Right now, I have some fears. I’m afraid that I won’t be able to graduate from my degree in Physical Activity and Sports Pedagogy. I’m scared that I won’t become someone in life. And one of my biggest fears is disappointing my parents. They’ve always believed in me, and I never want to let them down.
Even though these fears are real, I want you to know something very important: I’m going to try with all my heart. I’m going to work hard, stay focused, and give my best effort every single day. I hope that when you read this, you’ll be proud of how far we’ve come.
I believe in you. I believe in us. This journey may be difficult, but it's also full of hope and possibility. No matter what happens, remember that you tried and that means everything.
Take care,
Dylan (21 years old)
