Dear Future Me,
Hey there — it’s been a year. I hope as you’re reading this, you’re smiling because things turned out better than you imagined. But even if life still feels a little uncertain, I want you to pause and acknowledge how far you’ve come. You’ve made it through another 365 days, and that in itself is a powerful testimony of strength.
I know you’ve carried a lot this past year — questions, fears, dreams, and silent prayers. Maybe you’re still waiting on answers. Maybe some doors have closed, and maybe some new ones opened when you least expected. No matter what, I hope you never forgot that God’s timing is always perfect, even when it feels delayed. Trust that everything is unfolding just as it should.
I hope you’ve grown — not just academically or professionally, but emotionally and spiritually too. I hope you’ve loved yourself better, been kinder to your heart, and learned to rest without guilt. And if you’ve stumbled, I hope you rose with grace, knowing that failure never defines you.
Remember the things that once scared you but that you did anyway. Be proud of the courage it took. And if there’s something you still haven’t done because fear is standing in the way — do it now. You are more capable than you think.
Keep being the light. Keep praying. Keep journaling. Keep forgiving. Keep dreaming. Keep choosing peace.
Wherever you are now, whether you feel behind or ahead — you’re exactly where you need to be. Breathe. You’re still becoming.
With so much hope,
Your Past Self
