A letter from Jun 03, 2025

Time Travelled — 12 months

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, It’s Monday May 18,2025 currently 6:43pm as I’m writing this letter. I had to take a break on writing this letter truthfully, I put it off because I didn’t know what to say. But I know do. So here I am Tuesday June 3,2025 finishing writing it. I’m currently 17 years old, finally have a job at Hideaway Pizza. I’m feeling a bit emotional yet excited writing this letter. I felt compelled to write a letter to my future self, which is who you are now reading this. So enjoy and I hope I make you cry! A year ago today you sat around and made your college list. As of right now the main school you’re thinking of going to is Pulaski tech. Although it’s the main school you planning to attend. You’ve made a list of signing up to 22 different colleges. Which is scary to think about. But by the time you’re reading this you’ve probably graduated or close to graduating and know where you’re going. I hope your happy with your choice and picked and did what was best for you! I hope you enjoyed the ride of elementary, middle, & high school. I never believed it when people said “High school goes by fast” buy here I am a rising senior writing a letter to my future self who’s about to graduate. By now you’ve already had your “last first day of school high school”, “last homecoming”, “last prom”, & “last day of school”. You completed high school, congratulations you did it! So here’s a message to you from your past self to future graduate Alina of 2026… Although it might seem scary now it’s bitter sweet to know that this is the end and that you made it. The day has finally come where you finished high school. Soon you’ll be off to college. You’ll be in the real world. You’re now stepping into adulthood and headed into your future. It feels like you’ve waited years for this moment. Not to long ago you were in elementary ready to go to High school. Now you finished High School. Although High School was a bit rough, you put yourself out there as best as you could and tried new things. I’m proud you did. I hope you continue to keep putting yourself out there and trying new things. Things won’t always be so easy and it will get challenging along the road. No matter how hard life gets or you feel like giving up, keep your head up, be strong and push along. Although your life is changing and you’re getting older, don’t forget to stay who you are. You’re someone who is funny, caring, loving, and someone who feels emotions deeply which are traits you admire about yourself so don’t ever lost that about yourself. In your heart you have dreams, listen to those dreams God put them in your heart for a reason. Achieve your dreams and do everything you aspire to do. That being said live your life, challenge yourself, don’t be scared to take risks. AND NO MATTER WHAT DON’T LET ANYONE INCLUDING YOURSELF HOLD YOU BACK. In the song Five more Minutes there is a lyric that sticks out to me that says “Time rolls by the clock don’t stop” and the reason why I’m telling you this is because time won’t stop no matter how fast or slow your life is going. So live the life you want to live and live like it’s your last day of living. Take all the opportunities that come into your life. Keep on going with your dreams no matter how far or hard they seem to be. You’ll be okay, because you’re a strong person. You don’t have to have it all figured out, you might have to start over sometimes but don’t be afraid of starting over and picking yourself up. You got this, no matter what happens just remember to stay true to yourself, live your life, and to be brave and take those risks or opportunities. Time flies by so fast so don’t forget to look around sometimes and enjoy the moment. And Remember that this is your first time living this life, so be easy on yourself. I’m proud of you!
