A letter from May 22, 2025

Dear FutureMe, this is 7th grade me and hopefully everything is fine for you. I'm only doing this for the grade which is a bad mentality but I don't care. One of my favorite things right now is the trumpet and I like it because it feels fun to play and feels fun to play high. Another thing I like is the French horn and its funny that I can play higher on the French horn than trumpet but the French horn sounds and feels cool to play. One of my closest friends is Blake because he's so funny and I hope we are still in touch. the rest of my best friends are friends I've met in real life like Rhys, Dylan and Malachi and sure we argue sometimes it doesn't mean I hate them I love my friends. some goals I hope to achieve are first maybe dating????? I mean I don't think anyone likes us but if you are *** in the future I wouldn't be surprised. Something I'm proud about right now is being in marching band, I'm so glad that Mr whyrather allows me to march for RBV and all the things and friends I've met. 2nd I'm proud of getting better this year for band, at the start of the year my highest note was D and now I'm up to high A along with getting better at rhythms. one thing I'm struggling with is convincing me squib to allow me to play french horn in cadet/concert band. I'm trying to convince them that I'm good enough and next year there may be a French horn for me. One thing I don't want to forget is this "Future me" letter and I want to read it in high school. maybe me you? reading this will think "Oh yeah I forgot about this." I hope that in high school I'm a lot better at the trumpet in band because I want to impress my self and try to be the best to be able to play trumpet one. Another is having people not hate me unlike now, lots of people hate me because I'm friends with my friends and I wish it's not going to be like that for me you??? in the future. One career I want is to be a middle school band teacher. it seems so fun to teach music and because I play in band it should be fun for me to teach (I don't care about the pay if I'm happy.) one fear I have for me in the future is not being good enough for band. and working at McDonald's for the rest of my life being sad the whole time. I hope I end up like kai Because he's so good at the trumpet and are teaching younger newer trumpet players he to be better and I want to do that. Another thing is he has lots of friends and their really cool but its sad when he hangs out with only them and not a lot with me. My 2 role models I hope to become is first kai cause of course. 2nd is Kay because he's so nice to people and is the reason I have friends in marching band. I want you (My future self) to remember that to be nice and train someone just like kai did to me. 2nd never give up no matter what because we could have a really cool life just like Mr Squibb. I'm excited for first being better at my trumpet. and 2nd the new slang and memes because I think there going to be funny. something unforgettable this year was the fact that I've come full circle and realized that you don't need trumpet 1 to be happy. 2nd is the fact that I may be getting to play french horn after summer which is peak. so I need to give you encouragement and I think that's dumb but. Uhhh keep going don't give we could have a really cool life and I want that for you so just keep going. This last part is something I want to say first how outdated would the "Chicken jockey" meme be when your a seiner 2nd I wonder what our favorite marching show will be 3rd will we have a padawon to teach them trumpet 4th are we dating 5th how long will our string collection will be 6th will there finally be a medic warbond (Helldivers game) and I think that's it.
