Dear FutureMe,
Hope you’re doing well. This whole experience with AFS Innovators has taught me a lot about coping with stress and staying resilient. I’ve learned that coping doesn’t have to be perfect—just do what helps you feel calm and alive, like painting, writing poetry, playing basketball, or power posing. Asking for help, through prayer or talking to someone, has been really important too.
I’ve also learned not to judge people from different backgrounds and to be more understanding and empathetic. That’s helped me grow a lot.
One big thing to remember is to try to stay in the learning zone—not the panic zone. And whenever you feel down, don’t be afraid to step into your comfort zone to recharge.
If I could tell myself anything, it’s to be patient and kind with yourself. What works might change, and that’s okay. I hope you’re still open to learning and growing.
Stay strong and take care.
Later,
Samarth Garg
