A letter from May 21, 2025

Dear FutureMe, Brayden Ducketts letter to self! If you're reading this, it means you're already a junior which means it's already august 18th crazy how fast summer break goes by and how slow school goes by actually right now I'm just finishing up my freshman year it's been a wild ride with a mix of struggles I've learned so much about myself this year and I hope that I could get better grades sophomore year expelled hey Cortana about 8 months thing I'm really proud of this year is how I managed to keep up with my schoolwork, even when things got tough. I didn't know how to manage my time, and I couldn't stop playing video games, but I figured out how to stay more organized and stay focused on one thing I'd like to do differently next year is to get involved in more school activities and sports. I was a little nervous this year especially being a freshman, but I think being more involved will help me make more friends and have more fun. One thing I want to remember from freshman year is how nervous I was on the first day and how quickly that changed once I got more friends and closer to my best friends I want to remind myself that change isn't always scary was basketball and that it can be the start of something better period my favorite class this year it really helped me improve in my basketball skills and be more confident on the court and just to let out stress too. I really enjoyed all the other classes too, like biology as it was very hands on and made learning things more fun. Looking ahead, I hope you've stayed focused on your goals of probably keeping A's and B's to get maybe even a car now or hopefully a surron or talaria. I'm not sure if I want to go to college one day, I might take a college class like science fire I don't know if you still have that same goal about firefighting. I wonder if you got that referee job yet or if you're still trying to do acting, I’m kind of scared to become more of an adult and take on responsibilities, I know you will tackle it with confidence and determination, also I hope you don't have theater arts again this year or something weird like that. But you probably miss Brody and Rashaad. I still talk to them right now but that's because the school year hasn't ended yet they're going to San harbor this Friday for senior ditch day. Before I graduate, I want to accomplish some goals that I feel would be better for me. Getting good grades would make me feel more confident and smarter I want to join couple sports teams and probably not a club but yeah, a sports team and I kind of want to keep most of my friendships with mostly JJ and Everett probably. That's all because I don't want to write anymore adios amigos!!!
