A letter from May 15, 2025

Dear Future Me, It's May 15, 2025 and it's the end of junior year. I'm sitting in history class talking to Thalia, Levi, Rilee and Aldric about Roblox. Odd group of people, I know. By the time you're reading this, it will be the end of senior year or you will have already graduated depending on if you decided to graduate at semester or not. What does the brink of change feel like? Did you get into OSU or OU? If not, what college did you get into? Are you still dating Evie? Right now I don't have a job, but do you work anywhere? Do you still drive Margot? What did you do for your 18th birthday? Did we rent an AirBNB or take a party bus up to Branson like we want to? Did mom and Paul get back together? Are you still on anti-depressants? If not, how are you doing? If so, how are you doing? Have you got the chance to read 'The Survivor wants to Die at the End'? Has the last season of Stranger Things dropped? How was it? What about Euphoria? What's your favorite movie? Right now mine is 'I Used to Be Funny.' Are you watching any TV shows? Right now I'm watching 'Forever' and 'The 100.' Are you reading any books? Right now I'm reading '1984' by George Orwell. Who are your friends? Right now mine are Evie, Lucy, Isabella, Elaina, Lee and Rose. What is your daily routine? These days I've been getting up at about 8:15 because I don't have a first hour and then I go to school. After school I go home, I read and watch TV if Evie works. If she doesn't, we usually hang out. I also take my Medicine every night and go to therapy on Wednesdays. I guess that concludes all of the questions I have for you. If nobody else is rooting for you, I am. If nobody else has said it recently, I'm proud of you. I bet this time of life is hard and scary for you, but it will be okay. Keep your eye on the prize and keep your head up. You got this. Also, congrats grad! Oh and, Go Pokes!
