Dear FutureMe,
Hey buddy,
How have you been? No, really—how’s life treating you these days?
First thing I gotta ask: did you finally change your job? Right now, it’s the middle of May and I’m still here—stuck, waiting until I’ve saved up enough and built up the courage to make a move. Every day I think about leaving, but I haven’t jumped yet.
So, if you did take that leap—what’s it like on the other side? Is the new job better? Are you earning enough to live comfortably? More importantly… do you finally have time? Time for your family, your friends, your dreams, and—don’t forget—yourself?
I hope you’re doing well. No—scratch that—I believe you’re doing well. Whatever’s going on, I hope you’re still giving it your all. One step at a time, yeah?
Oh—and guess what? I'm picking up Blender and DaVinci again. I'm trying to get serious this time. I don’t know what this will become, but I hope you’ve created something—anything—that made you smile and think, “****, I really did that.”
Lastly… I’m doing all this for you. Right now, I’m still lazy. I hesitate too much. I second-guess everything. But one day, I want to look back and laugh at this version of me—lovingly, like you would laugh at an old friend who didn’t know better yet.And when you read this, I want you to feel proud—not because you’re perfect, but because you kept going AND YOU WILL SAY: I AM BETTER THAN YOU!.
Let’s roll, partner. You and me—we’ve got this.
With hope,Your past self
