A letter from May 14, 2025

An email to myself, to future Tam. Started writing this now at 10:40pm, 14th of May, while I’m in a call with my Kian. She’s asleep and snoring cutely, suddenly got a glimpse of our far future together in London. But of course, I’m looking forward to literally everything with her. As you receive this email, I have this strong feeling (but honestly also deeply hoping that this feeling is right) that you are still with the girl you loved since January of 2025. Not just with her, but thriving together. Still happy, still in love and continuously growing together as you help each other out through everything. Few days from now, Kian will be graduating from MC. Soon enough, she’ll be in UST. By the time you’ve received this you most definitely graduated as well, doesn’t matter if without honors, what’s important is you graduated. Your past self is very proud of you, Isha.. especially if you’re actually reading this, it just means that you pulled through and I can say that you’ve come so far despite all the setbacks. Honestly, writing this has made me feel so scared of the future but if nothing is ever certain, I’ll make the most out of what I have now. The most of what we have now. I’ll give my all to make her feel all the love that there is but also all the love anyone couldn’t possibly fathom that there was. Wherever you are now, keep holding on. If you still can’t do it for yourself Tam then do it for Kim.
